Southern Smiles Ltd (formerly known as Castle Dental Laboratory) was started in 1988 by David.
Since that time we have grown both in size and quality of work supplied to our clients. We continually strive to
improve our quality and keep up to date with the latest technology. We presently employ six qualified technicians, an apprentice technician and one assistant supporting the work of the qualified technicians. To complete our staff we also have an administrator and two drivers; our drivers deliver daily serving the whole of Salisbury, Southampton, Andover and some outlying areas. We can also offer a postal service to all our clients.
David qualified as a dental technician whilst working at Birmingham University Dental Hospital and as a Clinical Dental Technician November 2007. He has thirty years experience as a dental technician and offers a wealth of knowledge to the dental team caring for your patients. Southern Smiles is a member of the Dental Laboratory Assocation and the Clinical Dental Technicians Assocation; we pride ourselves on our ability to communicate and understand dentists’ needs, providing your patients with the highest standard of care.
Southern Smiles is pleased to work in conjunction with I Dent Ltd who are also at Glasshouse Studios. I Dent is a full service Crown and Bridge Laboratory covering all aspects of the restorative spectrum from full mouth rehabs to a single crown.
Southern Smiles also has a surgery for clinical work, that can be used by a dentist for fitting of dental appliances supplied by us, if required.
Our premises have been used for training for surgeons and technicians in Degussa porcelain, Ankylos, frailit2, XiVE implants, and the Eclipse light cured denture system. We would welcome any enquiry for the use of the premises for any other courses.
